Radio Controlled Tarantula

This radio controlled tarantula makes me think this would have been a great toy for the kid on Home Alone. Regardless, this is a great gift to give to little boys who would enjoy nothing more than to scary their sister or mom. Besides, if you know someone who is big on spiders or just enjoys bugs in general this would be a great gift.

Voice Recognition Grocery List Organizer

This idea is great in theory. But when it boils down to it, its rather pointless. I love voice recognition devices (cell phones, cars, alarm clocks, etc.) but a grocery list organizer? Is this necessary? Basically you tell the device the things you want to get at the grocery store and it adds it to a list and prints it out for you. I suppose if your hands are full this would make things easier and would be nice to have. But with a price tag of over $150, I think I'll just stick to pen and paper.

Apple Ipod 2 GB Shuffle

Yes, Ipods are great, but don't waste money on a shuffle. If you want the luxury of an MP3 player but don't want to pay that extra for the traditional Ipods such as the Nano's, or Touches, then splurge on a regular MP3 player. You don't need an Ipod. Yes, ITunes is nice. But quite frankly, the way I see it--if you don't want the great looking display, or the great additions that come with the Ipod Touch such as touch screen, wi-fi, and games to download then no point in getting a Shuffle. Shuffles are boring, and are limited to what they can do. Essentially you would just be paying for the Ipod name at the point of purchase.

Dyson Table Fan

This is where new-age technology has gotten us. Introducing the fan with no blades. This little device draws in air and amplifies it up to 15 times for a smooth blast of air. This is a rather unique device, and seems pretty cool. My question though is, is it worth purchasing offer a standard fan? To the extent that you are willing to fork over the $300 asking price , at times which can be $400 according to retail value? From a personal perspective I would just deal with the blades for that kind of pricing.

PS3 Gaming System

Don't need to say much about this. Outdoes the child's play of Wii and Xbox who? Get it.
